Hello Everyone and welcome back to the Nest. As we move into the last third of the year, I wanted to share five new or upcoming releases that I am excited to read. Make sure to be on the lookout for these in either hardcover or paperback.

Katabasis by R.F. Kuang
This is the only release that is currently out that I will be talking about. I have had this preordered since May and now that I finally have my copy in my hands, I cannot wait to read this. The premise sounds fascinating but also relatable. Two grad students journey into hell to rescue the soul of their professor in order to get a letter of recommendation from them. This sounds like an amazing read, and I can't wait to jump in. Kuang has quickly become one of my favorite authors and I am ready for another adventure.
This Inevitable Ruin by Matt Dinniman
This is the seventh and I think final book of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. This will definitely not be the last time that I talk about Carl's crawl on here as I loved Book 1. I am a little behind in the series but I can't wait to see how everything ends up. Especially with my new feline best friend Princess Donut.
The Court of the Dead by Rick Riordan
It has been at least two years since I last read a Riordan book and oh boy am I ready to dive back in. I didn't read Nico and Will's first adventure together because I was a little hesitant, but this premise seems a little more promising. Plus, this new adventure features Hazel's return so maybe I am feeling a little nostalgia for the Heroes of Olympus series. Either way I am super excited for this one.
To Die For by David Baldacci
This is the third and final book of the Travis Devine trilogy. This was actually my first book/series that I had read by Baldacci. I had always seen him on the bestseller list and wanted to see if he was "worth the hype" and he definitely was. I know it's kind of basic to say but with every good mystery you have to keep your big reveal hidden until the end for the payoff to be worth it. It definitely was and now I can't wait to see how Travis's missions come to a close in the third and final book.
Bringer of Dust by J.M. Miro
I read the first book in the series all the way back in 2024 and loved it. It was definitely the best book I read that year and I am more than pumped to read Book 2. It comes to paperback at the end of the month and I'm sure it'll be just as awesome as Book 1. As someone who has always been a fan of superheroes, this series reminded me of the X-men but if they were in the past. Like based in London during the 1700's or 1800's. Plus Book 1 ended on such a cliffhanger I absolutely need to know what's going to happen.
I hope you guys enjoyed this and maybe you'll pick up one of these new releases the next time you're in the bookstore!
